May Day, interestingly enough, started in the USA as part of the effort to win the eight-hour workday. The bosses have always hated it… no school textbook in America teaches this fact, for instance. Throughout the world, workers march on this day, from Russia to Canada, from Kazakhstan to Ireland, from Cuba to Germany, and from the Ukraine to the USA (the belly of the Corporatist Beast). Never forget what previous generations went through to win state pensions, decent healthcare, adequate safety regulations, reasonable wages, job security, and freedom from company goons… never forget the great sitdown strikes or the massacres of workers by Pinkerton agents, police, and federal troops. After all, the Republican Party wants to reimpose that wicked order in all of its evil aspects… indeed, they call it their “New World Order”… which was the same title that the Nazis gave to their monstrous vision.

We can have a world with justice… or we can have a world where “might makes right”. You can follow Christ in seeking the first… or you can follow the Anti-Christ in embracing the latter (as too many “Christian” figures do). It’s your choice… here’s a hint… the Sretensky Monastery Seminary Choir is singing “progressive” songs in this collection… that shows that the Church ISN’T on the side of the oligarchs!
