21 August 2011. A Russian POV… The New York Hot Dog

Here’s a “Chicago-style” dog from a pushcart. It has a beef hot dog, potatoes, mustard, onion, cucumber, tomato, peppers, and salt in a bun.

How ‘bout an “Asian Dog” from Asia Dog? They’re topped with kimchi, green onions, sesame seeds, and other non-traditional condiments…

“Fifteen-Bite Hot Dog”, from the Brooklyn Diner in Manhattan; it weighs almost a half-kilo (@1 pound)!

Hot dog with sauerkraut and relish from the Papaya King, which dates back to 1930.

Here’s a different kind of hot dog, from Zach Pelaccio’s Fatty Crab; it has pork sausage, gravy, mayonnaise, pickled garlic, pickled chilli peppers, and pickled radishes.
