A boy stands between two big watermelons at the “Watermelon Paradise” festival in the village of Strelka (Krasnostrelskoye Rural Settlement. Temryuk Raion) in Krasnodar Krai (that be Cossack country, chum). Any inferences, dirty or otherwise, reside solely in the mind of the beholder… now, I didn’t say anything, did I? Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev honoured the memory of the Red Army soldiers who fell in one of the more important battles of the VOV, the amphibious landing at the “Malaya Zemlya” (“The Small Land”) in Novorossisk (Krasnodar Krai. Southern Federal District). The Church honours the Red Army dead… the People honour the Red Army dead… the Cossacks honour the Red Army dead… the Army (of course) honours the Red Army dead… the State honours the Red Army dead… what’s not to like in that? One last thing… my sources tell me that many of the parish priests in the Church are supporting the KPRF in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The oligarchs are nasty and grasping… just like their American counterparts, I must say. The Church does NOT support such demonic greed… NEVER forget that.
